Monthly Business Meeting: Our next monthly business meeting will be held Monday, October 12th.
World Meeting of Families: Several council knights attended the World Meeting of Families Congress held in Philadelphia this past week concluding with the Papal Mass on Sunday. Most noteworthy was the key role in the mass held by our very own seminarian, David O’Brien. We all look forward to hearing some great stories Monday evening.
Knight at the Races (KATR): The Knight at the Races is scheduled for Saturday October 10th. Due to the World Meeting of Families Congress this past week, ticket sales have been very slow. Tickets will again be sold after all masses this coming weekend. If you need additional tickets please see Tom Sandri. Please send all sold tickets and money to Tom:

Race Sponsors: A special thank you to Don Trevelino and Roy Staszak for approaching last years’ race sponsors to renew their sponsorships this year. Unfortunately, we have lost some sponsors. Please consider asking businesses you patronize to sponsor a race.
Soccer Challenge: This year’s youth soccer challenge will once again be coordinated by Bill O’Brien. The challenge will be October 10th at the Brandywine YMCA at 11:00. Bill is always looking for volunteers.

Coal Tickets: Coal tickets are running late this year due to an error in printing. If you have not received yours yet, you can pick them up from Tom Tracy tomtracykofc [at] comcast [dot] net. They are due back in mid-November.
Memorial Mass for brother Ralph Westnedge: A memorial mass will be held for brother Ralph Westnedge on Sunday October 11th at the 10:30 mass.
October Business Meeting: Bob Beggs from Good Works in Coatesville will be the guest speaker at the October 12th business meeting. St. Peter’s Good Works committee will also be attending. Anyone interested in co-chairing a committee to support the Good Works ministry, please see Chuck. We will be scheduling a Saturday Good Works day at the meeting.
Keep Christ in Christmas Billboard: Our target Family Gathering Day for the installation of the Keep Christ in Christmas sign on the church property is set for Saturday, November 7thth. This will be a family event to kick the Christmas season off right. Bring your children, grandchildren and family members. We’ll start with a pancake breakfast at 9:00 accompanied by singing Christmas carols and Tom Sandri on the accordion, followed by installation of the sign.
Adopt a Highway: The adopt a highway trash pickup is scheduled for Saturday, October 17th following the 8:30 mass.
Save the Date: The Past Grand Knights Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, October 24th at 4:00 at Chuck Beebe’s house. Details to follow.
Upcoming Degrees: First and Second degrees will be held at St. Joseph’s Downingtown on Sunday, October 25th.
Quarterly Adoration: The next quarterly adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1st.
Football Sweeps Tickets: Football sweeps tickets are still available for $10.00 from Ron Yavorka and Joe Mitri.
