40 CANS FOR LENT: A Knights of Columbus charity program that connects traditional Lenten alms-giving with the nutritional needs of needy families. We continue to invite parishioners to participate. Our goal is to collect 2500 lbs. Contribution of one can-per-day, inspired by Christ’s 40 days of fasting in the desert, is the goal. The program will conclude this Sunday, Palm Sunday. This is a joint venture with Saint Vincent de Paul Society and several Knights are needed before each mass this weekend to help parishioners transfer food from their cars to the St. Vincent DePaul food trailer. Please consider arriving at mass 15 minutes early to help. Any questions, please contact Brother Tom at 610-312-9107 or tomlanchoney [at] yahoo [dot] com.
40 DAYS FOR LIFE: The Closing of the spring 40 Days for Life campaign will be marked by a Presentation of the Stations of the Cross on Sunday March 29th at 2PM in front of Planned Parenthood in West Chester. Join in publicly acknowledging the suffering that Jesus endured for us and in thanksgiving for all that He continually does for mankind. All are invited.
THE LIFE AT CONCEPTION ACT PETITION: Tragically, over 4,000 babies are aborted every day in our nation. But by passing a Life at Conception Act we can end abortion in America. The Supreme Court itself admitted in Roe v. Wade that once Congress establishes the personhood of unborn children, they must be protected by the 14th Amendment which explicitly states: "nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty or property." Since the Supreme Court is waiting for someone to tell them who the law counts as persons, let's not wait another minute. Your petition will let your Senators and Congressman know that their constituents support full protection for the unborn and that they must stand for life in Washington. Please click here to link to the petition.
