COUNCIL MASS AND CORPORATE COMMUNION: On Sunday, February 22nd, the Council will be gathering at the 8:30 Mass and we will be seated together. Knights and their families are encouraged to attend. Please wear your KofC 10351 shirt. If you cannot attend this mass, please try and sit with other Knights at whatever mass you attend and wear your Council shirt.
ST. PETER PARSH STEWARDSHIP SPOTLIGHT WEEKEND / MEMBERSHIP DRIVE: Next weekend, February 21st and 22nd is the St Peter Parish Stewardship Spotlight on Witness Commission Ministries. The Knights are part of the Witness Commission and will be participating in the weekend. We are also running a membership blitz in conjunction with this weekend and several Knights are needed after each mass to assist in distributing literature and talking to prospective members. 40 CANS FOR LENT: A Knights of Columbus charity program that connects traditional Lenten alms-giving with the nutritional needs of needy families. We continue to invite parishioners to participate. Our goal is to collect 2500 lbs. Contribution of one can-per-day, inspired by Christ?s 40 days of fasting in the desert, is the goal. The program commences next weekend February 21st and 22nd and will be continued through Palm Sunday. This is a joint venture with Saint Vincent de Paul Society and several Knights are needed before each mass to help parishioners transfer food from their cars to the St. Vincent DePaul food trailer. MAN-UP PHILLY: the 7th Annual MAN-UP Men’s Spirituality Conference is being held March 7, 2015 and the theme this year is ?Faith, Family, and Fatherhood?. Enrich your faith through your participation in this year’s conference. On Saturday March 7th at St Joseph University Hagan Arena, the men of our parish are invited to join Catholic Men from throughout the Archdiocese for the 7th Annual Men’s Spirituality Conference. We encourage all men to join in the area?s largest Men?s Conference for an inspiring time of faith and fellowship. Speakers include Dr. Scott Hahn, author of ?Rome Sweet Home?, Gus Lloyd, Catholic radio host, Devin Schadt, from Catholic Answers, Marie Joseph author of ?Faith on Fire? and Jim Longon, member of the Papal Foundation. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered. The Conference will conclude with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Charles Chaput. FALLEN HEROES 5K Run & 1 MILE FAMILY WALK: Get your running (or walking) shoes on!. The Fallen Heroes 5K Run and 1 Mile Family Walk is set for May 16th at Hibernia Park. We have some exciting changes for 2015 and those will be mentioned in the next Eblast. Spread the word!! All proceeds from this event will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. We will need a group of volunteers for this event to run smoothly. 2015 COUNCIL CLAMBAKE/PICNIC: Mark your calendars and make your reservations, the 2015 Family Picnic will held at Twin Grove Campground the weekend of July 10th-12th, 2015 with the Picnic being on the 11th. Twin Grove Campground is located at 1445 Suedberg Rd, Pine Grove, Pa 17963. This is a popular event, and the campground is filling up fast, so make your soon. Interested members should call Twin Grove at (717) 865-4602 to inquire about availability of campsites and cabins. Paul has some exciting updates that he will be sharing at the next Council meeting. Picnic time & additional details to be announced at a later date.
