KofC GOLF OUTING: Our annual Golf outing is scheduled for June 7th at Honey Brook Golf Club. This is our largest fundraiser and the proceeds from this event support many of our acts of charity. If you are able to donate items to the silent auction, or volunteer, please contact GK Ted at gk [at] kofc10351 [dot] net. We will be asking that each Knight donate a bottle of wine for our basket of cheer. You can bring your donation to the next meeting.
COUNCIL 10351 25th ANNIVERSARY: Brother Tom Foley has agreed to lead this event and we have narrowed down the location to either Downingtown Country Club or St. Anthony’s Lodge. FALLEN HEROES 5K RUN: 1 MILE WALK: Get your running (or walking) shoes on! The Fallen Heroes 5K Run and 1 Mile Family Walk is set for May 16that Hibernia Park. Registration is now open at http://heroes.secondwindtiming.com/. We will need a group of volunteers for this event to run smoothly. COACH DICK VERMEIL LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: Council 10351 will be presenting Coach Dick Vermeil with a lifetime achievement award on May 6th at 7PM in the PJPll gymnasium. The event is open to the community and is being widely publicized. Admittance will be on a first come/first serve basis. ARC COLLECTION: – On May 9th, we will be conducting our local ARC fundraising drive at Stauffer’s Market in Guthriesville. We need Knights (and families can assist) to stand outside of Stauffer’s in 1 hours increments between the hours of 9AM and Noon and solicit donations on behalf of ARC. ARC is a statewide organization that is devoted to improving the lives of all people with mental retardation and provides many direct services include preschools, community living arrangement programs, parent-to-parent groups, and sheltered and competitive employment. The ARC of Chester County ensures that our most vulnerable children and adults have quality of life and the help they need while meeting life’s challenges. If you can spare an hour on the morning of May 9th for this worthwhile case, and would like to volunteer to assist, please contact GK Ted at gk [at] kofc10351 [dot] net.
JOHN MATTIS SHOW: The Chester County Assembly # 1873 is pleased again this year to sponsor the Fifth Annual John Mattis Memorial Free Car Show to be held June 6th from 10AM to 2PM at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. All proceeds from this event will benefit Veteran’s Programs at the Coatesville VA. 2015 COUNCIL PICNIC/PIGROAST: Mark your calendars and make your reservations, the 2015 Family Picnic will held at Twin Grove Campground the weekend of July 10th-12th with the Picnic being on the 11th. Twin Grove Campground is located at 1445 Suedberg Rd, Pine Grove, Pa 17963. This is a popular event, and the campground is filling up fast, so make your reservation soon. Interested members should call Twin Grove at (717) 865-4602 to inquire about availability of campsites and cabins. Picnic time & additional details to be announced at a later date.
